Yellow Cake Love

She baked me a magical cake today
Filled with her goodness and golden with love
It sprouted three wings and ascended above

But as the birds say, the problem with wings

The cake started toppling - it spun as it flew
Then crumbled to the ground as cakes tend to do

A seemingly mishaply ending had come
But lucky for me, the cake's center wasn't done
The goo stretched and grew 'til it covered dry land
Then flowers and forests sprung out of the sand!

So yeah. it's been awhile. la di dah.

I have a complaint. The anger has been growing for quite some time now, and I'd just like to expose my frustration before it becomes an insurmountable problem and causes me to commit hate crimes.

The issue is Van Halen.

Apparently, radio stations seem to think Van Halen is cooler than ever before, so they are supersaturating their little shows with a large quantity of Diamond Dave and the Red Rocker. It's just too much Van Halen. There are actually days now when I don't hear Stairway to Heaven a single time! Don't get me wrong, that may not be such a bad thing, but don't fill those empty 8 minutes 3 seconds with 3 Van Halen jingles everyday. Now, I happen to love Van Halen, and I understand that the band needs its air time, but come on people! Get a grip and play me some Aqualung! (by jethro tull, that is)

The greatest part of the my results from this "can you be a cage fighter?" test is that I do use my frail arms for origami and baking. it's also good to know that i have very little scrappiness to speak of, however, i wouldn't mind a little more one of these days...

it is official: my cell phone is now a member of my secret society. i dropped it today when i was unlocking my front door, and all its parts scattered to the 4 winds. that's how one is initiated into my secret society: i drop it and its inards disperse all over the friggin ground. i hate dropping stuff.
